Suntory Beverage & Food Europe is seeking a Senior Buyer for Packaging Plastic PET Preforms & Bottles in Neuilly-sur-Seine. You will set budget prices, monitor PPV, and lead negotiations within a strategic category that touches finance, supply, quality, innovation and ESG.

You will manage supplier relationships, conduct regular reviews, drive cost optimization, and use SRM and 80/20 analyses to improve performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Europe.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field.
• Experience in Procurement or Supply Chain; packaging knowledge helps.
• Proficient in MS Office and procurement IT tools.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Agile, analytical, organised, and deadline-driven.
• Fluent in English; French/Spanish a plus.

YOU

You have a strong interest in Procurement and have gained solid experience in the field, ideally within an FMCG environment.

You are comfortable managing supplier relationships and working in sourcing activities, negotiations and tender processes. Your background has enabled you to develop a strong understanding of procurement fundamentals as well as the ability to balance business needs, suppliers’ performance and operational priorities.

You possess strong communication and negotiation skills and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders across functions, sites and cultures. You are recognised for your analytical mindset, organisation, accountability and proactive approach.

You are able to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders and feel comfortable acting as an interface between multiple teams and business priorities.

You are curious, adaptable and eager to learn. You thrive in dynamic environments where agility, collaboration and continuous improvement are key to success.

You have experience working in international environments and demonstrate a strong level of professional English. French and/or Spanish would be a plus.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Buyer - Packaging Plastic PET Preforms & Bottles, reporting to the Procurement Category Manager, you will set standard budget prices for the assigned sub‑categories and monitor Purchase Price Variance (PPV). You will achieve financial targets for your portfolio through negotiation activities and proactive cost and value optimisation initiatives.

You will take full ownership of a strategic packaging category with a strong impact across finance, supply, quality, innovation, and ESG.

From defining and executing our category strategy to delivering financial performance, you will lead suppliers’ negotiations and performance management while driving continuous improvement across the entire packaging value chain.

You will conduct regular business reviews with key suppliers and ensure close monitoring of quality performance and KPIs, including SLA compliance. You will leverage SRM methodologies to evaluate supplier performance using an 80/20 approach, define action plans, and ensure systematic follow‑up throughout the year.

With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, you will be a cornerstone of our Suntory Beverage & Food Europe packaging network and play a key role within our procurement team, proactively contributing to securing competitive advantage and long‑term business success.
