Job summary

Ipsen is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to partner with R&D, Medical, and IT to deliver compliant, scalable digital solutions. You will define and manage business requirements, analyze processes, evaluate options, and ensure alignment between business needs and technology capabilities.

You will lead discovery workshops, own the requirements lifecycle, and translate needs into testable deliverables, ensuring audit-ready documentation and effective change management across a global matrix.

Qualifications

• 6-9+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Product Analyst, or equivalent role supporting business and IT transformation initiatives.
• 4+ years in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, clinical research, quality, regulatory affairs, or medical affairs environments.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear solution specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, process models, test scenarios, and decision materials.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, workshop and requirements gathering facilitation, and influencing skills, including experience working with senior business and IT stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of GxP/CSV principles, regulated environments, data privacy, security, quality documentation, and applicable lifecycle controls.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience with SaaS platforms, integrations, analytics, and data-driven solutions.
• Experience preparing, coordinating, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate discovery workshops, interviews, and working sessions to define objectives, scope, pain points, risks, and success measures.
• Own the requirements lifecycle: elicitation, analysis, prioritization, validation, approval, change control, and traceability.
• Translate needs into testable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and functional specs.
• Assess solution options balancing value, cost, timeline, risk, and compliance.
• Analyze current and future-state processes and identify opportunities for standardization and automation.
• Support change readiness and assess business impacts of proposed solutions.
• Define critical data elements, business rules, data quality needs, and reporting requirements with analytics teams.
• Build trusted relationships across a global matrix organization.
• Embed GxP, CSV, privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements into deliverables.
• Support risk assessments, validation planning, traceability, UAT, and controlled documentation.
• Ensure documentation is complete, approved, and audit-ready.
• Contribute to business case development and benefits identification.
• Share best practices and mentor junior analysts.
