Job summary

Tsuga is hiring for a senior backend engineer to join the cluster team, working on the core observability product and managed cluster services. You will design, build, and operate distributed backends in Rust, with data ingestion and real-time workloads at scale across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with DataFusion and columnar database query execution.
• Experience with large-scale data processing while maintaining performance.
• Proficiency in Rust or C++ and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed backend systems in Rust.
• Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines for massive traffic and real-time workloads.
• Build and optimize columnar storage on object storage for petabyte-scale data.
• Manage and orchestrate Kubernetes-based clusters across customer clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop tooling to provision, monitor, scale, and maintain managed clusters in real time.
