Alma in Paris is hiring a senior backend engineer to build the payment infrastructure of tomorrow. You will design and develop the APIs and backend components powering payments for thousands of merchants and millions of consumers across Europe.

You will own reliability end-to-end, lead incident response and performance troubleshooting, and collaborate with Product and other tech leaders to evolve our architecture in a regulated fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering on large-scale systems.
• Strong Python and relational databases expertise; core stack is Python.
• Fluent French with solid English.
• Cross-functional collaboration and strong problem-solving skills.
