Job summary

Vibe in Paris is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own integrations and the developer platform, shaping scalable API endpoints and data contracts for external partners. You’ll drive architecture, mentor engineers, and collaborate across two continents while leveraging AI-augmented development.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup with health insurance, meal vouchers, and annual offsite benefits, and you’ll contribute to a fast-paced, high-performance culture at Vibe.

Qualifications

• Six plus years shipping production backend systems: APIs, data pipelines, and distributed services.
• Deep hands-on proficiency in TypeScript and ownership of complex systems.
• Strong infrastructure fundamentals: AWS, Terraform, and architectural decision making.
• Exposure to low-level programming concepts; C or C++ background is a plus.
• High ownership from startups to scale-ups with a bias for action.
• Proven track record of raising engineering quality and mentor mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade integrations with external platforms: CRMs, CDPs, measurement vendors, and data partners.
• Own integration projects end-to-end from scoping to production with accountability for outcomes.
• Collaborate with external partners to define, validate, and evolve data contracts.
• Drive architecture of Vibe's public API for account, advertiser, and campaign management.
• Develop documentation, monitoring, and tooling to make developer experience first-class.
• Contribute to MCP gateway and authentication layers exposing Vibe's capabilities.
• Identify architectural weaknesses and lead rebuilding for scale.
• Set code quality standards; reviews raise the bar beyond diffs.
• Use AI tooling to accelerate development and improve output.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; establish engineering norms as team scales.
• Partner with Engineering Manager on technical direction and hiring calibration.
