Job summary

Cephalgo, a Strasbourg-based AI compliance pioneer, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to architect and build core backend systems. You will design distributed, secure, scalable services and collaborate with product, data, and DevOps teams.

You'll implement backend services in Python and JavaScript, containerize with Docker, and deploy on Kubernetes, while driving security-minded coding, performance tuning, and thoughtful system design across the full software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and shipping production-grade distributed systems.
• Strong experience with cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript backend development.
• Knowledge of secure coding, threat modeling, and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of distributed systems, microservices, and high-availability backend components.
• Define engineering standards and best practices across the backend stack.
• Develop backend services in Python and JavaScript and containerize on Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, observability, and automation.
• Mentor engineers and drive architectural direction.
