Uncovr is building AI-powered infrastructure for surgical insights. We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to develop reliable, production-ready AI capabilities for complex clinical workflows.

In this hands-on role, you will integrate language and multimodal models, build evaluation workflows, and collaborate with product and engineering to deliver scalable AI features for our healthcare platform. You will contribute to logging, monitoring, validation layers, and documentation to ensure trustworthy

Qualifications

• Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with language models, multimodal models, or AI APIs.
• Ability to build, test, and debug AI-enabled product workflows.
• Experience integrating AI into backend services.
• Familiarity with evaluation, benchmarking, or quality checks for AI outputs.
• Excellent collaboration with product, engineering, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and improve AI systems that support Uncovr's product.
• Work on AI workflows, model integration, evaluation, and production readiness.
• Integrate language models, multimodal models, and AI services into product and backend systems.
• Help improve AI system reliability, accuracy, latency, and robustness.
• Build and maintain evaluation workflows for AI outputs across product use cases.
• Test AI capabilities against real-world clinical and product scenarios.
• Help identify uncertainty, edge cases, failure modes, and inconsistent outputs.
• Support the development of validation layers that make AI outputs more reliable and useful.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into working AI capabilities.
