Job summary

OnTarget Communications in Basel, Switzerland is seeking a Senior Flight Physics Engineer to lead a team responsible for advanced aircraft physics modeling and systems integration.

The role requires 8+ years of hands-on experience, a Master’s degree in Aerospace or Space Engineering, and deep knowledge of FAR/CS-23 or FAR/CR-25 regulations. You will drive technical excellence across design reviews and program milestones.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace or Space Engineering.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft design and flight physics.
• Solid knowledge of FAR/CS-23 and/or FAR/CR-25 certification regulations.
• Proven leadership experience managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of flight physics engineers.
• Oversee design/systems integration in Flight Physics.
• Ensure technical objectives and quality standards.
• Develop, validate, and apply flight physics models and tools.
• Coordinate with systems engineering, design, structures, controls, and test teams.
• Plan budgets with schedules, resources, and costs.
• Provide technical leadership in design reviews and milestones.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of flight physics engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
• Hands-on experience in aircraft design/systems integration and development in Flight Physics
• Meet all technical objectives and maintain quality standards
• Drive the development, validation, and application of flight physics models, simulations, and analytical tools.
• Interface with systems engineering, design, structures, controls, and test teams to ensure cohesive technical solutions.
• Plan and execute budgets with schedules, resource and cost perspectives
• Provide technical leadership in design reviews, trade studies, and program milestones.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Aerospace or Space Engineering
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft design/systems integration and development in Flight Physics
• Strong understanding of FAR/CS-23 or FAR/CR-25 certification regulations
• Proven leadership experience in managing a team
