Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse, France, is seeking a Flight Physics MDAO Developer to join our Flight Physics department in Toulouse. You will develop multisciplinary capabilities to accelerate aircraft design.

You will perform end-to-end 3D CFD (RANS) simulations, shape parameterization, and surrogate modeling, collaborating across Europe, India, and Canada. Proficiency with DoE, optimization, HPC, and cloud infrastructures is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience developing mono- or multidisciplinary optimization for Overall Aircraft Design.
• Hands-on 3D CFD (RANS) simulations, shape parameterization, and surrogate modeling.
• Experience with MDAO frameworks GEMSEO, OpenMDAO, or ModelCenter and Python.
• Knowledge of DoE, gradient-based/gradient-free optimization, and OAD sizing/weight constraints.
• Familiarity with HPC scheduling, cloud infrastructures (AWS), Git, and process automation.

As part of the Flight Physics team, you will be involved in creating modern MDAO applications aiming at simplifying complex engineering workflows and speeding up the aircraft design process.

• Hands-on mastery of 3D CFD aerodynamic simulations (RANS), shape parameterization, and surrogate modeling.
• Practical experience with MDAO frameworks (GEMSEO, OpenMDAO, or ModelCenter) and Python programming.
• Strong knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE), gradient-based/gradient-free optimization, and OAD sizing/weight constraints.
• Familiarity with HPC job scheduling, cloud infrastructures (AWS), Git version control, and process automation.
