Senior Accountant (FR/US)

Today, we support 200+ clients across 15 countries, with a team of 70+ people from 13 nationalities, working across Paris, Madrid, and Boston.

We're now looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Paris and take ownership of accounting operations across France and North America.

Why this role? North America is our largest business market, and we're looking for someone who can independently manage its accounting operations while ensuring our French accounts payable activities run smoothly.

Reporting to Philippe, our Senior Chief Accountant, you'll combine hands-on accounting with a high level of autonomy, working closely with our US teams and external partners.

Your missions

Your role will be split equally between US accounting (50%) and French accounts payable (50%), with two main areas of responsibility.

Own our US accounting operations

You'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle of our North American activities, from daily transactions to monthly and annual closing.

• Manage the full accounting cycle: Record transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Own month-end and year-end closing: Handle accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations independently.
• Ensure financial accuracy: Review accounting entries, investigate discrepancies, and maintain reliable financial information.
• Coordinate with our US accounting firm: Prepare and review the information required for tax and statutory filings.
• Partner with our US stakeholders: Work directly with Sales, leadership, clients, and external partners to address accounting matters.

Manage our French accounts payable

Alongside your US responsibilities, you'll manage the day-to-day accounts payable operations for our French entity.

• Handle supplier accounting: Process and validate invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile supplier accounts.
• Manage expenses and follow-ups: Oversee expense reports, supplier balances, and related accounting entries.
• Support monthly closing: Ensure supplier accounts are accurate and properly reconciled.
• Improve the way we work: Help streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and make the most of our existing automation and accounting tools.

Your profile

We're looking for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and the confidence to own a complex scope independently.

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years of experience in general accounting, with hands-on exposure to month-end and year-end closing.
• Strong technical accounting skills, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and financial controls.
• Solid knowledge of French accounting, particularly accounts payable processes.
• Fluent French and English, comfortable communicating with international stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial reconciliations.
• Autonomy and accountability: Able to manage priorities, solve problems, and deliver reliable work without constant supervision.
• A practical, structured mindset: Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable working across different teams and business contexts.

A plus, but not a requirement:

• Experience with US accounting standards or international entities.
• Familiarity with Xero and Spendesk.
• Experience improving or automating accounting workflows.

You don't need to know US accounting inside out from day one. Strong accounting foundations and the ability to learn quickly matter just as much.
