The University of Rochester is seeking a part-time dining worker to join Douglass Dining/Aux Ops. You will perform cleaning, food service support, and assist in meal preparation under supervision.

This role requires stamina for standing, walking, lifting, and handling supplies, with a focus on maintaining sanitation and efficient service in a busy kitchen and dining area.

Responsabilités

Compensation Range:

The referenced pay range represents the first and last step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities:

Cleans equipment, utensils, pots and pans, and work areas including floors and walls, and handles supplies in a food service department.

SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION RECEIVED: Under immediate supervision of area supervisor.

SUPERVISION AND DIRECTION EXERCISED:None. MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED:Dishwasher, Pot and Pan Washer, other cleaning supplies and equipment, materials handling equipment, and other related equipment. TYPICAL DUTIES:1.Picks up used dishes from counter areas and tables, etc. Prepares for washing by scraping and pre-rinsing and washes by machine, or by hand, silver, china, glasses and/or pots and pans. 2.Performs general helper duties and assists in handling supplies and food as directed:a) Replenishes milk supply.b) Transports supplies, equipment, and materials, as directed.c) Picks up dishes, etc. from tables when necessary.d) Unpacks stock.e) May, on occasion, help serve on counter or perform other duties in food service area. 3.Maintains prescribed sanitation standards performing duties such as:a) Cleans Machines and kitchen equipment. b) Washes floors and walls.c) May wax floors.d) May clean windows and do other general cleaning as directed.4.
