Pierre Fabre Laboratories seeks a Scientific IT Service Manager to join the R&D IT & Infrastructure team, driving the operation and evolution of scientific IT services and applications.

You will collaborate with scientists and IT professionals to support research activities, ensure data governance, and lead continuous improvement across LIMS, ELN, EDCs and related platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field is non-negotiable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT service management within a scientific or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of scientific workflows, data management, and laboratory systems.
  • SDLC management experience is essential.
  • Experience with LIMS, ELN, EDCs, eTMF and cloud environments; ITIL/Agile familiarity.

Responsabilités

  • Oversee lifecycle of scientific IT services from deployment to maintenance and improvement.
  • Manage application support including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting of LIMS/ELN/EDCs/eTMF.
  • Own releases of assigned products to ensure delivery meets business needs.
  • Serve as LabIT liaison between Lab Managers and Corporate IT for ongoing support.
  • Engage R&D users, gather feedback, drive adoption and satisfaction.
  • Monitor service performance metrics, handle incidents, implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with internal/external IT teams for security and compliance.
  • Ensure alignment with data governance policies and external regulations (GLP, GCP).
  • Create and maintain service documentation and contribute to user training.

We are looking for a Scientific IT Service Manager to join our Service & Product Management team within R&D IT & Infrastructure department to support the delivery and continuous improvement of scientific IT services & applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for the operational excellence, availability, and evolution of scientific applications and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with scientists, researchers, and IT professionals to ensure that our digital tools and platforms effectively support research activities and comply with data governance and regulatory standards.

Your role within a pioneering company in full expansion:

  • Scientific IT Service Management: Manage the lifecycle of scientific IT services, including deployment, maintenance, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Application Support: Oversee the configuration, updates, and troubleshooting of scientific applications such as LIMS, ELN, eTMF, EDCs and data analysis tools.
  • Product Ownership: Oversee and own each release of the assigned products and make sure the delivery meets the business needs.
  • LabIT Support: Act as a point of contact between Lab Managers and Corporate IT to facilitate the continuous support of LabIT services.
  • User Engagement: Act as a point of contact for R&D users, gather feedback, and ensure high levels of satisfaction and adoption of IT services.
  • Operational Monitoring: Track service performance metrics, manage incidents, and implement corrective actions to maintain service quality.
  • Technical Coordination: Work with internal and external IT teams to ensure infrastructure compatibility, security, and compliance.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure services align with internal data governance policies and external regulations (e.g., GLP, GCP).
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain service documentation and contribute to user training and knowledge sharing.

This position is compatible with teleworking up to 2 days a week after the successful completion of trial period.

Your skills at the service of innovative projects:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology / Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field is non-negotiable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT service management within a scientific or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of scientific workflows, data management, and laboratory systems.
  • Strong exposure to SDLC management is a must.
  • Experience with scientific applications (e.g., LIMS, ELN, EDCs, eTMF) and cloud-based environments.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Concepts and Agile methodologies is a must. ITIL V4, PSPO-I / II certifications are nice to have.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow and other agile/ticketing tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GLP, GCP, and other relevant compliance frameworks is a plus.

Language Proficiency: English C1 level is a must.
