Eutelsat is looking for a skilled communication system engineer located in Île-de-France, France, to join their team. You will play a crucial role in defining the architecture for the European LEO satellite communications system (IRIS²). Responsibilities include developing tools for assessing waveform performances and defining protocols for user and feeder links. Ideal candidates have 5-10 years of experience, knowledge of 3GPP architectures, and familiarity with systems engineering software tools. Flexible work-from-home options are available.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of industry work experience in communication system engineering.
• Experience in system development, integration, verification, and validation process.
• Background in Layer 2 protocols in a 3GPP-like system is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop tools for assessing waveform performances and link budget.
• Define physical layer protocols for air interfaces across various links.
• Contribute to defining user and feeder link waveforms in collaboration with teams.
• Maintain technical baseline and lead Integrated Product Team initiatives.
• Define processes for tracking architectural decisions and changes.

Connaissances

Design of waveforms and optimization of waveform parameters

Knowledge of 3GPP waveform and 5G NTN releases

Understanding of 3GPP (5G) end-to-end system architecture

Experience with requirements management software tools
