Overview

SAP PP/DS Functional Consultant – Paris, France

Location: Paris, France (on-site 2 days per week, rest remote)

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is embarking on a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme and is urgently seeking an SAP PP/DS Functional Consultant. You will play a key role in the design phase of the project, focusing on Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) and working directly with business process owners to define, challenge, and design core solutions.

This is a long-term initiative (4+ years) covering multiple plants in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Korea. The initial contract runs until January 2026, with strong potential for extension throughout the programme.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional design workshops for SAP PP and PP/DS within S/4HANA.
• Collaborate with Business Process Owners (BPOs) to capture requirements and design scalable solutions.
• Configure and customise SAP PP/DS to support manufacturing and supply chain processes.
• Provide functional expertise across production planning, APO/IBP integration, and detailed scheduling.
• Act as a subject matter expert, advising on best practices and system capabilities.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams (QM, EWM, MM, Fiori developers) to ensure integrated design.
• Support solution validation and ensure alignment with project milestones.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an SAP PP/DS Functional Consultant.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA PP and PP/DS (implementation and design).
• Experience working with APO/IBP is highly desirable.
• Ability to run workshops, challenge business needs, and translate them into system solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to work collaboratively in international teams.
• Fluent in English; French or German language skills highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to European plants (France, Germany, Italy, Spain).
