Infosys is seeking a senior SAP Basis Lead Consultant to design, implement and maintain our SAP landscapes, ensuring high availability, peak performance and robust security across environments. You will align business needs with technical infrastructure and lead cloud migrations, S/4HANA transitions and landscape optimizations.

You will architect the SAP stack, steer migrations to cloud or hybrid setups, and define HA/DR and security standards.

Qualifications

• Rich hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration with 3+ years as SAP Lead Consultant.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager and Fiori.
• Experience with SAP HANA database administration and performance tuning.
• Proven track record delivering complex SAP migrations and upgrades.
• Strong communication skills for executive-level stakeholders.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic SAP Basis Lead Consultant to design, implement, and maintain our complex enterprise SAP landscapes. In this senior‑level role, you will be the definitive technical authority on our SAP infrastructure, responsible for ensuring high availability, peak performance, and robust security across all SAP environments. You will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical infrastructure, leading initiatives such as cloud migrations, S/4HANA transitions, and landscape optimizations. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in SAP administration, a strong background in cloud architecture, and the leadership capabilities to guide technical teams through complex, large‑scale transformations.

Your Role

Architecture & Strategy: Design and maintain the overarching SAP landscape architecture, ensuring it aligns with current business needs and scales for future growth.

Cloud & Infrastructure Integration: Lead the design and execution of migrating on‑premise SAP systems to cloud platforms (e.g., RISE, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or manage existing hybrid environments.

HA/DR & Security Design: Architect robust High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, and define enterprise‑level SAP security and compliance standards.

System Upgrades & Migrations: Oversee complex technical projects, including S/4HANA conversions, OS/DB migrations, and system upgrades, ensuring minimal business disruption.

Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor, analyse, and tune system performance, capacity, and database operations (specifically SAP HANA) to ensure optimal response times.

Technical Leadership: Act as an escalation point for complex Level 3/Level 4 Basis issues, providing mentorship and technical guidance to offshore and onshore SAP Basis administrators.

Automation & Innovation: Evaluate and introduce automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and process improvements to streamline repetitive Basis administration tasks and reduce operational overhead.

Required

• Rich hands‑on experience in SAP Basis Administration, with a minimum of 3+ years in a dedicated SAP Lead Consultant role.


• SAP Expertise: Deep, proven expertise in administering and architecting SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and SAP Fiori.


• Database Knowledge: Extensive experience with SAP HANA database administration, architecture, and performance tuning (as well as traditional databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2).


• Cloud Platforms: Proven experience architecting and deploying SAP workloads on major public cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP).


• Project Delivery: Successfully completed at least 2–3 full lifecycle SAP implementations or complex S/4HANA/Cloud migrations as the lead architect.


• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of defending architectural decisions to C-level executives and translating technical constraints to business stakeholders.

Preferred

• Certifications: Active SAP Certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Professional - System Security/Architecture) and Cloud Architecture Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).


• Automation: Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) and automation frameworks like Ansible, Chef, or Terraform for SAP deployments.


• Integration: Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) architecture and integration methodologies.


• Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks.
