Orient Express Sailing Yachts is seeking an experienced Sales Operations Manager reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing.

The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for qualifying and closing sales in collaboration with the Areas and MICE Directors of Sales. This role also acts as the primary contact for clients post-sale and oversees the coordination of full ship charters and large corporate programs to ensure successful onboard yacht events.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on qualified leads
  • Assist with sales presentations alongside Directors of Sales
  • Create proposals and review all sales quotes and contracts accurately
  • Serve as the main contact for all finalized and contracted sales, transitioning from sales to operations
  • Participate in industry networking events and client meetings
  • Help achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental goals
  • Collect and input trip details for charters and incentive groups, updating as needed
  • Plan and coordinate customized onboard events, entertainment, food and beverage requests, excursions, and itineraries
  • Create and distribute yacht memos and operational plans with all necessary information
  • Attend pre-charter meetings, in person or virtual, and follow up on action items
  • Escort day visits and site sailings
  • Travel with clients for operational meetings, site inspections, and onboard liaison
  • Ensure payments are received before sailing, as per contract terms
  • Develop marketing plans with the marketing department and update relevant assets
  • Coordinate with itinerary planning and destination experience teams for logistics
  • Collaborate with operations to meet group or charter needs
  • Develop event management system requirements with IT and hotel operations
  • Maintain sales records and preferences in the event system
  • Communicate and escalate service issues promptly
  • Oversee program wrap-up, including documentation, client feedback, and financial reconciliation

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Experience: At least 3 years in sales operations, cruise program planning, or onboard ship operations; shipboard experience preferred

Languages: Fluent in French and English
