Qualifications

  • Understanding of local, national and industry specific RESH regulations.

About the role

The role is member of the site leadership team, responsible to drive the Risk, Environment, Safety and Health strategy at site level. It contributes to the achievement of the site objectives and targets and is responsible for development of the organizational capability to get the expected results. Provides leadership, coaching and advice for the assigned site in the area of Risk, Environment, Safety and Health. Is responsible for the implementation of systems and standards and takes part of their development when needed. Engage the leadership to create a proactive safety and environment culture on site.

What you will do
  • Lead the I Care journey on site.
  • Be the advisor of the leadership team on Risk, Environment, Safety and Health topics, with the aim of creating a strong and sustainable culture on site.
  • Establish safety and environmental goals, objectives and implementation plan with the Site Lead Team.
  • Collaborate with the global RESH organization and implement initiatives on the site.
  • Ensure compliance to legal obligations (Unions, authorities, etc.) and company standards (RESH Framework) is maintained and regularly reviewed.
  • Develop and update all safety and environment policies, procedures, and training modules, in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Coordinate risk assessments, safety and environment audits, incident and accident investigations, safety and environment training, and record keeping.
  • Identify CAPEX needs to minimize risks.
  • Provide visible leadership on the shop floor in all operating areas to drive cultural changes.
  • Act as business partner to the operational teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement through reapplication of good practices from internal and external benchmarks.
  • Be accountable for the Department Budget.
  • Be accountable for the Performance Management process.
Who you are
  • University degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience working in a production site.
  • 3+ years experience in RESH management preferred.
  • Ability to develop and drive strategies, set priorities and lead changes.
  • Strong skills in leading through others.
  • Ability to develop and implement RESH programs, conduct assessments and lead incident investigations.
  • Understanding of local, national and industry specific RESH regulations.
  • Ability to drive a strong RESH culture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
