You will define and drive the architectural vision across multiple teams and locations, shaping the system architecture in a SAFe environment and ensuring alignment with product management and stakeholders.
You will collaborate with Release Train Engineers, architecture communities, and customer interfaces to enable scalable, resilient solutions and long-term platform evolution.
Job Title SAFe System Architect - Services Engineering EMEA Train
As a System Architect within the Services Engineering EMEA Train, you will play a key role in defining and driving the architectural vision that supports the development of scalable, resilient, and business-critical solutions across multiple teams and locations. Working in a SAFe environment, you will provide technical leadership by shaping the system architecture, evolving the architectural runway, and ensuring alignment across products, teams, and business domains. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Release Train Engineering, Architecture Communities, customer stakeholders, and development teams based in Bad Homburg, Bangalore, Dubai, Istanbul, and Nice. In this role, you will review complex architectural and technical requirements, ensure alignment with the SAFe Large Solution Organization, and support their successful implementation while enabling long-term platform evolution and operational resilience.
The EMEA Digital scope brings together multiple airline-specific eCommerce applications built on Amadeus Digital platforms, including both the legacy eRetail platform and the new DES platform. This complexity creates an opportunity for the System Architect to identify synergies across teams, define the right architectural enablers, and help maximize the effectiveness of the Train from a technical perspective.

Guide Design and Architecture Across Distributed Development Teams
Review and validate complex technical designs across multiple development teams and locations.
Promote reuse, harmonization, and alignment with technology standards across the Train.
Support teams in addressing architectural challenges, managing technical debt, and maintaining long-term sustainability.
Collaborate with Business Domains (Offer, Order, TTX), Solution teams, and adjacent Trains to ensure architectural consistency across the Amadeus ecosystem.
Align architectural decisions with engineering standards, security requirements, performance expectations, and integration frameworks.
Represent the Train in cross-domain and solution-level architecture forums.
Help ensure that dependencies, integration models, and shared enablers are understood and incorporated into planning and roadmaps.
Foster collaboration across Product, Service, Engineering, and Solution organizations.
Participate in PI Planning, System Demos, ART Syncs, architecture communities, and other SAFe events.
Provide guidance on dependencies, risks, enablers, and architectural priorities.
Facilitate technical alignment between teams, Product Owners, Product Managers, RTEs, and Digital Labs Customer Interface stakeholders.
Support modernization initiatives, including AI adoption, automation, observability, technology upgrades, and quality improvements.
Encourage knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement across teams.
Identify and help address architectural and systemic bottlenecks.
Provide architectural insights to stakeholders engaging with customers.
Clarify technical constraints, extensibility considerations, and architectural impacts of custom developments.
Ensure customer-specific solutions remain aligned with the long-term architectural strategy.
Brings significant depth and breadth of expertise within their area and supports the development of others through guidance, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
Applies a broad understanding of the business and technology environment to improve efficiency, recommend solutions, and contribute to strategic objectives.
Works independently while collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders.
Contributes to innovation, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
