Job summary

Airbus is seeking a Robotics Supervision SW Engineer to join the OMRTP team in Toulouse. You will architect and develop a proprietary C++/Qt supervisory software environment to pilot robotic cells on the shop floor.

You will work on high-performance interfaces, industrial communications, and validation with digital twins and virtual commissioning, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams in Manufacturing Engineering.

Qualifications

• Background in Computer Science, Industrial Information Systems, Robotics or Embedded Systems.
• Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience on industrial machines or robotic cells.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (14/17/20), Qt framework (QWidget, QML), CMake and Git/CI-CD.
• Experience with industrial CNC/PLC controllers or robotics middleware (ROS/ROS 2) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and specify a proprietary supervisory software framework for robotic cells.
• Develop high-performance, ergonomic shop-floor interfaces using C++ and Qt.
• Build robust communication pipelines with industrial controllers (Fanuc, Siemens) and ROS 2.
• Ensure UI responsiveness and real-time synchronization via multithreaded design.
• Conduct software testing and validation using digital twins, virtual commissioning, and cells.
