Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Robotics Software Developer (M / F) to join our Robotics Development Team based in Toulouse, France.

In Robotics Development we develop and support Robotics & Automation solutions for all the Airbus Commercial plants and FALs as an internal supplier and centre of competence. We mature differentiating and disruptive robotics solutions for a safer and more competitive future for Airbus and its employees. The fields of application include assembly inspection paint and composite.

Your challenges

As the job owner you will develop software for a major robotic project.

Design and develop robotic systems software for production solutions.

Design the V&V and run tests from unit to integration tests.

Collaborate with other Robotics Development team members to develop and integrate components into full robotic systems.

Deliver documentation

Ensure the maturation of the technology solution from R&T to a robust level to enable deployment into the industrial environment.

Collaborate with other departments and external parties such as academic research institutes and industrial partners.

Software development methodology

System Integration – install, configure, test and maintain software systems and application software with DevOps methods and environments.

Embedded software development

Embedded software architectures and robotic control systems.

Solid background in C development; Python is a plus.

Linux and Windows based systems

Low‑level software development such as drivers (mainly cameras), shared memory mechanisms.

Communication middleware (ROS, DDS, REDIS or other) and Ethernet‑based communications using TCP‑IP or UDP.

PLC programming for robotic field buses such as Profinet or EtherCAT; Nvidia boards and CUDA library knowledge is a plus.

Percption and AI knowledge is not mandatory for the position but will be a plus

Cameras and sensing devices data acquisition.

Traditional computer vision and features extraction & measurement via libraries such as OpenCV.

Artificial intelligence usage for image recognition or classification.

Point cloud techniques using PCL
