Job summary

Inria in France seeks a robotics engineer to lead longitudinal field experiments with service robots such as Shelf y and TiagoPro, and potentially humanoid platforms. You will develop and improve software for navigation, control, and manipulation, while ensuring safety in real environments.

Requirements include a Master's in Robotics/AI/CS, strong C++/Python skills, and a passion for working with real robots. French and English skills are valued; teleworking may be possible after six months.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Robotics, AI, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in programming with C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with real robots and robot learning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute robot experiments in the field.
• Write code to perform experiments with robots.
• Conduct experiments in real environments with real robots.
• Participate in national and European project events as appropriate.
• Interact with humans in robot-assisted tasks (HRI).
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, Gazebo, sensors and hardware.
