Anotech is seeking a Senior Riser Engineer to act as the technical authority for the design, analysis, and qualification of offshore riser systems. You will work with subsea teams, suppliers, and procurement to drive critical engineering decisions and ensure delivery to project milestones.

You will lead complex analyses, mentor junior engineers, and communicate fluently in English with international stakeholders, producing high‑quality documentation and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Extensive offshore engineering experience in riser systems or subsea structures.
• Ability to lead topics with minimal supervision and mentor junior engineers.
• Strong analytical mindset and capability to challenge assumptions.
• Excellent communication, including influencing suppliers and stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating interfaces across subsea, structural, and installation disciplines.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership for riser system design and qualification.
• Define and optimize riser architectures aligned with project constraints.
• Lead high-level dynamic analyses (fatigue, extreme loads, VIV, installation).
• Author and review technical documentation including design bases and specs.
• Coordinate supplier evaluations and support procurement decisions.
• Ensure compliance with API, DNV, ISO standards and client specs.
• Oversee project planning, supplier schedules, and risk mitigation.
• Supervise fabrication and testing activities on-site at suppliers.
• Coordinate interfaces with subsea, structural, installation and materials teams.
• Lead technical meetings in English and present to international stakeholders.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior engineers.

Job Description

The Senior Riser Engineer serves as a technical authority for the design, analysis, and qualification of riser systems within complex offshore projects. Operating with a high level of autonomy, the Senior Engineer leads critical engineering activities, mentors junior engineers, and drives technical decisions in coordination with subsea disciplines, suppliers, and procurement teams. Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is essential to manage international interfaces, lead technical discussions, and produce high‑quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership — Act as a technical reference for riser systems, providing guidance, validation, and decision‑making support across the project.
• Advanced System Architecture — Define and optimize riser system architectures, ensuring robustness, compliance, and alignment with project constraints and industry best practices.
• High‑Level Global Dynamic Analyses — Lead complex dynamic analyses (fatigue, extreme loads, VIV, installation), validate models, and challenge assumptions to ensure technical excellence.
• Authoring & Reviewing Technical Documentation — Produce and review design bases, technical specifications, installation procedures, and qualification plans with senior‑level rigor.
• Strategic Supplier Evaluation — Drive technical bid evaluations, challenge supplier proposals, and support procurement in strategic selection decisions.
• Compliance & Governance — Ensure full compliance with API, DNV, ISO standards, client specifications, and Saipem internal rules; contribute to internal standard improvements.
• Project Planning Oversight — Oversee supplier schedules, anticipate risks, and ensure alignment with project milestones in coordination with Post Order teams.
• Manufacturing & Testing Supervision — Lead technical follow‑up during fabrication and testing phases, including on‑site missions at supplier facilities.
• Interface Management & Coordination — Manage complex interfaces with subsea, structural, installation, and materials disciplines; ensure seamless integration of riser systems.
• International Technical Communication — Lead technical meetings in English, negotiate with suppliers, and deliver high‑level presentations and documentation to international stakeholders.
• Mentoring & Knowledge Transfer — Support junior engineers, review their work, and contribute to team capability development.

Technical Skills Required

• OrcaFlex Expert‑level proficiency in offshore dynamic analysis.
• Python — Advanced scripting for automation, data processing, and engineering workflows.
• Shear7 — Senior‑level expertise in VIV fatigue analysis and mitigation strategies.
• Professional English — Fluent technical English for documentation, negotiation, and international coordination.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in offshore engineering, specifically in riser systems or subsea structures.
