DOLFINES Group is seeking a Rig Electrical Maintenance Surveyor to inspect and audit electrical equipment on drilling and workover rigs worldwide, ensuring compliance with codes, client specifications and good oilfield practice.

The role covers surveys on land rigs, jack-ups, drillships and semi-submersibles, witnessing tests, diagnosing faults and delivering clear reports within contractual timeframes. Fluent English required; extensive travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in electrical maintenance with ≥10 years on drilling rigs.
• At least 5 years as Chief Electrician or Maintenance Manager on a drilling rig.
• Minimum 2 years as inspector/auditor/surveyor; rig inspection company preferred.
• Deep knowledge of API, MODU, IEC codes and OEM requirements.
• Computer literate; fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Conduct technical acceptance surveys, commissioning inspections and rig condition surveys on land rigs, jack-ups, drillships and semi-submersibles.
• Witness FATs, SITs and function/endurance tests on electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults, review technical documentation and assess the condition of complex electrical systems (motors, control systems, etc.).
• Audit maintenance and safety management systems and personnel competency related to electrical operations.
• Carry out DROPS surveys and contribute to accident investigations as necessary.
• Document findings via photos, non-conformity lists and structured reports, escalating critical findings directly to the client.
• Deliver final reports, time sheets and supporting documentation within contractual timeframes.

About the role

As a Rig Electrical Maintenance Surveyor, you will inspect, audit and survey electrical equipment and systems on drilling and workover rigs worldwide, verifying compliance with codes, standards, client specifications and good oilfield practice.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Chief Electrician or Maintenance Manager on a drilling rig.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an inspector/auditor/surveyor; prior experience with a rig inspection company preferred.
• Deep understanding of applicable codes and standards (API, MODU, IEC, etc.) and OEM requirements.
