Harmattan AI in Paris seeks a Signal Processing Engineer to own algorithms turning raw RF intercepts into actionable situational pictures for multi-sensor platforms.

You will prototype with MATLAB/Python, work with RF hardware and software teams, and validate performance in lab and field tests, applying ML for modulation recognition and emitter fingerprinting in contested spectra. Master/PhD required; 3–6 years RF processing, fluent English, French a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of RF/radar signal processing experience, exposure to ELINT/ESM/SIGINT.
• Strong fundamentals in DSP: spectral analysis, filtering, multi-rate processing, adaptive signal processing.
• Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for algorithm prototyping; production-oriented C/C++ knowledge.
• Experience applying ML to signal classification problems.

Responsabilités

• Develop algorithms to detect, deinterleave, and extract RF parameters (PRI, pulse width, frequency, modulation).
• Create classification pipelines to identify emitter types and match threat libraries.
• Design analytics turning detections into real-time emitter maps and threat posture.
• Apply ML to modulation recognition and anomaly detection in dense spectra.
• Collaborate across RF hardware, software, and data science teams to fuse multi-sensor data.
• Take offline prototypes to real-time or near-real-time implementation with embedded/FPGA engineers.
• Validate detection/classification performance with simulated and real RF datasets in lab and field tests.
