Job summary

L’Oréal Group in Paris is offering a 6-month internship starting January 2027 in Research & Innovation – Formulation. You will design and formulate new formulas, perform physico-chemical characterizations, and work with cross-functional teams to translate insights into tangible product ideas.

The program requires a Master 1/2 in a relevant field, fluency in English and French, excellent Excel skills, and a passion for data analysis and AI.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master 1 or Master 2 program (engineering or university) seeking a gap-year or final-year internship in Physico-Chemistry & Formulation.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Excellent mastery of Excel.
• Strong affinity for Data Analysis and AI.

Responsibilities

• Designing and formulating new formulas (emulsions, gels, surfactants) in alignment with marketing briefs or technological innovations.
• Performing physico-chemical characterizations of prototypes (viscosity, pH, stability, appearance).
• Implementing evaluation protocols (temperature stability, container/content compatibility).
• Analyzing and interpreting results, then proposing optimization avenues and corrective solutions.
• Conducting technological and bibliographic watch on raw materials and new formulation trends.
• Collaborating actively with cross-functional expertises (sensory evaluation, safety, analysis, processing).
