Job summary

Novaspace is seeking a Web Engineer in Paris to develop and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce websites, create custom PHP features, and build React interfaces. You will integrate REST APIs, ensure security and performance, and collaborate with the Digital and Data team to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in full-stack web development, strong WordPress/WooCommerce expertise, and a solid grounding in PHP, React, and REST APIs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Strong experience in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, and website maintenance.
• Proven experience developing and customizing WooCommerce websites and e-commerce functionality.
• Strong knowledge of PHP and experience developing custom PHP solutions.
• Experience building responsive web interfaces using React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
• Good knowledge of MySQL or another relational database.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of web security, performance optimization, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver projects within agreed deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce websites.
• Build custom PHP features, themes, plugins, and backend functionality.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Integrate third-party services, payment solutions, and internal systems through APIs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve website performance, security, reliability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with the Digital and Data team, designers, and internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Test, document, deploy, and maintain web solutions while ensuring code quality and timely delivery.
