JobCubby is partnering to fill an Ubuntu Security Engineer role based in France. You will join a globally distributed security engineering team focused on protecting users and securing open source software.

You will investigate vulnerabilities across the Ubuntu ecosystem, code audit, and develop security tooling with cross-cultural teams. The role blends security engineering with software development and vulnerability research.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of common software security vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
• Familiarity with coordinated vulnerability disclosure practices and responsible security communication.
• Experience with open source development tools, workflows, and methodologies.

Responsabilités

• Analyse, investigate, fix, and test vulnerabilities affecting Ubuntu ecosystem packages.
• Monitor and track vulnerabilities using internal security tools and processes.
• Collaborate with internal engineers, upstream developers, and the open source community to develop patches.
