Job summary

CrowdGen is seeking an Independent Contractor for Project Lupin, a remote role to help improve AI-powered speech recognition models. You will transcribe audio verbatim, label speakers, and annotate non-speech elements, with a focus on accuracy and timing.

Requirements include native Thai fluency and reliability for at least 10 hours per week. Compensation is $30 per hour, paid based on audio hours transcribed.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Thai, including regional accents and informal speech.
• Strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
• Ability to produce verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.
• Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is an advantage.
• Comfortable using browser-based tools (training will be provided).
• Reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Listen to real audio recordings and produce precise, verbatim transcripts—capturing not just what was said, but how it was said.
• Timestamp segments with less than 500ms deviation.
• Label speakers for conversations with 2 to 8 participants.
• Annotate non-speech elements (e.g., laughter, background noise, unintelligible audio).
