Mercor is seeking a Computational Pharmacokinetics & Systems Biology Expert to design and solve advanced AI-driven scientific problems using established bioinformatics tools. This is a remote contract role requiring 15–20 hours per week and strong Python skills.

Candidates will work with libRoadRunner, Tellurium, or SBML-based tools to simulate compartmental PK/PD models and collaborate asynchronously with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level training in a relevant STEM field (MS/PhD or equivalent).
• Proven proficiency with at least one scientific software library.
• Strong Python skills and Linux/terminal experience.
• Available for 15–20 hours per week.

Responsabilités

• Design challenging computational problems for AI to solve using real scientific software.
• Develop problems requiring strategic planning and multi-step workflows.
• Test and refine problems against state-of-the-art AI models to reach target difficulty.
• Utilize libRoadRunner, Tellurium, or SBML-based tools for PK/PD modeling and systems biology simulations.
• Work independently to refine problem designs based on feedback.
• Collaborate asynchronously and maintain flexible hours.
