Crossing Hurdles seeks a SolidWorks Specialist to create fully-parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies from briefs, and to edit existing models to meet evolving requirements with full documentation.

You will audit models for dimensional accuracy, apply robust GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and support multiple manufacturing methods, including injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, or casting/forging. Strong reporting and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in parametric CAD modeling with SolidWorks, FreeCAD, Fusion 360, or Inventor.
• ASME Y14.5 GD&T knowledge applicable to manufacturing contexts.
• Experience supporting injection molding, sheet metal, CNC, or casting/forging.
• Strong written and verbal communication for project documentation.

Responsabilités

• Create fully-parametric 3D CAD models of mechanical parts and assemblies based on written briefs.
• Edit and update existing parametric models to meet new technical requirements with complete documentation.
• Audit and review models for dimensional accuracy, proper tolerance application, and manufacturability.
• Apply deep knowledge of DFM principles for various manufacturing processes throughout modeling tasks.
• Translate design intent and requirements into clear, structured CAD data suitable for AI model training.
• Communicate effectively with project coordinators and fellow contributors through detailed reports and updates.
