Avanda Group AG is seeking a Senior Quant Developer / Data Scientist able to work remotely from France. The role focuses on R and Python development, cloud migration, and risk systems, with autonomous work style and collaboration from the Risk department.

You will lead R-Framework migration, ensure data quality during large dataset reconciliation, and integrate with REST APIs and JSON structures for improved performance and deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quant Developer and Data Scientist.
• Proficiency in Python and R; working with relational databases and cloud platforms.
• CI/CD experience with Git and Github actions and Azure DevOps.
• Additional skills: Linux and Docker; handling large data sets.

Responsabilités

• Act as R expert and tech lead to support migration of the R-Framework across packages, interfaces and dependencies.
• Lead data reconciliation of large datasets between apps during migration.
• Adapt the R-Framework to leverage REST API and JSON structures for better performance.
• Support Risk department to optimize deployment pipelines from Git to client applications.
• Advise on best practices for R development in the cloud using the Risk R-framework.
