Belcan Corporation is seeking a Senior Avionics Systems Safety Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. The role involves leading system safety analyses and ensuring compliance across real-time embedded systems for airborne and space platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in avionics/embedded systems and is proficient with safety methodologies and regulatory standards. Direct full-time or contractor options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years systems safety analysis in safety-critical environment
• 5+ years in system/software development of avionics/embedded systems
• Experience generating FHA, FTA, FMECA documents
• Experience with CAFTA 11.x or equivalent
• US Citizenship is required

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with cross functional integration teams to ensure compliance in development of real time embedded systems and embedded software
• Develop, manage, and maintain system safety requirements—allocation, traceability, validation, and verification
• Support system design and architecture activities to ensure safety considerations are adopted
• Contribute to systems integration efforts, identifying and mitigating safety impacts across interfaces
• Support compliance with FAA, EASA, TC regulations and guidance
• Perform safety analyses (FHA, FMEA, FMECA, SSA, PSSA) and communicate results to stakeholders
