Job summary

Perle is hiring a freelance transcriptionist fluent in Haitian Creole for a remote transcription role. This paid contract position is open to qualified contributors worldwide. You will listen to two-speaker audio, transcribe accurately with speaker labels and add timestamps.

Daily output targets apply, with a flexible schedule and at least 4 hours per day. Native fluency, strong spelling and grammar, and the ability to work independently are essential; prior transcription is a plus but not

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Haitian Creole (spoken and written).
• Strong written Haitian Creole—accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Ability to meet daily output targets.
• Access to a computer with stable internet connection.
• Availability for at least 4 hours per day.
• Prior transcription experience is a plus but not required — must pass qualification test.

Responsibilities

• Listen to 2-speaker audio recordings in Haitian Creole.
• Type out what each speaker says, accurately and in full.
• Label each speaker turn as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2, matching the audio channel.
• Add timestamps at the start of each speaker turn (format: HH:MM:SS).
• Ensure transcripts are sequential with no unexplained gaps.
