Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a client to hire a FTTH Security Expert based in France. The role is fully remote and contract-based, focusing on assessing the security of fiber access infrastructure, provisioning systems, and operator environments.

You will conduct authorized audits and penetration tests across FTTH/PON networks, analyze GPON/XG-PON technologies, and develop practical remediation recommendations for telecom infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of fixed-line networks (FTTx, DSL, coax) and telecom security frameworks.
• Experience conducting security audits and tests across IT and OT environments.
• Practical understanding of FTTH/PON architectures, protocols, and provisioning.
• Familiarity with telecom vendor ecosystems (Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, Calix, Adtran).
• Fluent English; French is optional.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct authenticated security audits and penetration tests on FTTH networks and management systems.
• Analyze GPON, XG-PON, XGS-PON, NG-PON2 technologies and related authentication.
• Assess security of CPEs, gateways, and update mechanisms; review UART/JTAG interfaces.
• Evaluate subscriber provisioning, TR-069/CWMP, TR-369/USP, and OSS/BSS integrations.
• Examine network access, segmentation, VLAN, RADIUS/AAA, DHCP, PPPoE/IPoE, QoS.
• Investigate fixed-mobile convergence, 5G FWA, and shared OSS/BSS platforms.
• Review routers, switches, NMS/EMS, and management interfaces for hardening.
