Job summary

Geolinks is hiring an applied research scientist in Nantes to advance passive seismic methods and their interpretation for hydrogeological and geotechnical parameters. You will join a multidisciplinary team and report to the CTO, contributing to FlowTerra solutions and interfacing with clients.

The role requires a PhD, strong Python skills, and fluent English, with opportunities for short trips within France and abroad.

Qualifications

PhD in geophysics or related field with research focus in seismic methods.
Experience in analyzing seismic observables and interpreting hydrogeological/geotechnical parameters.
Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
Strong programming skills in Python and ability to translate client needs into research directions.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate physical models linking passive seismic observables to hydrogeological/geotechnical parameters.
Design qualitative and quantitative interpretation methods and benchmark results against field data.
Prototype new features and support their industrialization with the Technology and Product teams.
Gather client needs and translate them into research directions; present results to clients and partners.
Monitor scientific literature and contribute to collaborative projects with academic and industrial partners.
