Spore is hiring a PhD-level scientist to own the interpretation of multi-omics data for AMR platforms. You will work with raw genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic/metabolomic data to extract biological insights that guide model learning and validation, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team in Paris.

You will shape model design, data fusion strategies, and contribute to publications and IP, while mentoring others in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in microbial genomics, computational microbiology, bioinformatics, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of direct multi-omics experience in microbial contexts (genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics/metabolomics).
• Working knowledge of bacterial population structure and resistance mechanisms.
• Experience with paired genomic and phenotypic data (e.g., AST/MIC) and interpretation.
• Excellent English written and oral communication.

Responsabilités

• Lead multi-omics characterisation of resistance across genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics/metabolomics.
• Interpret genotype-phenotype links and explain discordances between genotypic calls and phenotypes.
• Curate and structure heterogeneous clinical datasets for model-ready pipelines.
• Collaborate with deep learning and biology teams on feature representation and data fusion.
• Contribute to publications, conferences, and IP generation.
