Digital Maelstrom is seeking a DevOps engineer to join the IT Operations team in a remote capacity working with US-based clients. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and automate infrastructure and deployment processes across cloud environments.

The role emphasizes scripting in Python/Bash, Linux administration, and strong English communication as you collaborate with engineers, architects, and management to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
• Solid experience with networking fundamentals, protocols, and application behaviors, particularly web-based software.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash; Linux OS administration.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication on technical topics.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and remediate infrastructure, network, and software issues, particularly in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, consultants, and client contacts to identify, triage, analyze, and resolve issues.
• Automate manual tasks using readable, maintainable code; participate in agile team practices.
• Write tests (manual and automated) as part of DevOps practices and contribute to security compliance.
