Job summary

Jobgether, in partnership with a leading blockchain infrastructure team, is seeking a DevOps Engineer – Blockchain Infrastructure based in France. You will operate and scale validator nodes, automate deployments, and maintain high availability across multi‑cloud and bare‑metal environments.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 1 year with blockchain infrastructure.
• Experience operating blockchain nodes, validator infrastructure, or comparable distributed systems in production.
• Strong Linux administration skills and working knowledge of containerisation technologies and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring and observability platforms.
• Strong shell scripting skills, with working knowledge of Rust, Go, or Python.
• Experience configuring, scaling, and optimizing cloud environments (AWS and GCP).
• Practical experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
• Experience building and maintaining automated delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tools.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure security, resilience, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities; autonomous and proactive.
• Ability to work remotely from eligible locations with time-zone overlap with US/EU.
• Nice to have: GitOps, Nix, or experience in small high‑velocity teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain critical blockchain infrastructure with a target of 99.99% uptime and implement reliability improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot incidents, and document blameless post-mortems.
• Manage, maintain, and automate validator nodes across multi-cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Contribute to decentralisation by improving onboarding and deployment templates for Foundation Node Operators and future Stake Pool Operators.
• Build, maintain, and improve open‑source tooling for infrastructure management, deployment, and automation.
• Identify vulnerabilities, improve security controls, and optimize performance and resilience.
• Design, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other tooling.
• Develop telemetry, monitoring, and ETL dashboards to provide actionable infrastructure insights.
• Gradually own day‑to‑day operations and coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Develop development, testing, and mainnet environments and resolve deployment bottlenecks ahead of upgrades.
• Drive automation opportunities and document infrastructure designs across distributed teams.
