Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Backend QA Engineer based in France for a fully remote role within a growing B2B platform. You will own software quality across a high-traffic backend, combining manual testing with automated development to prevent production issues.

You will validate complex transaction lifecycles, API integrations, and event-driven workflows across distributed services. Develop and maintain automated test suites using TypeScript and Playwright, strengthening regression coverage.

Qualifications

• At least four years of professional manual and automated software testing experience.
• Hands-on experience in the iGaming industry (slots, bonuses, sportsbook, or payments).
• Experience developing automated tests with TypeScript and Playwright.
• Experience with API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, and test management platforms like TestRail or Zephyr.
• Working knowledge of Docker and ability to run and configure services locally.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Good conversational English skills for distributed teams.
• Willingness to perform manual testing when needed, balancing exploratory testing with automation.
• Familiarity with Go or ability to read Go code is a plus.
• Basic SQL knowledge to query relational databases.
• Experience supporting UAT and exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to design test cases and validation strategies.
• Perform end-to-end testing of transaction lifecycles and API interactions.
• Explore the system to identify edge cases, risks, and defects not covered by docs.
• Develop, maintain, and improve automated regression suites using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Automate API testing and validate REST and gRPC endpoints.
• Test event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS, including retries and failures.
• Execute regression testing after deployments, combining automated and manual testing.
• Document, report, and track defects in Jira with clear steps and logs.
• Validate data consistency with SQL queries across backend services.
• Collaborate with backend developers to improve coverage and quality.
• Contribute to QA process improvements across the SDLC.
