SearchApi is seeking an engineer passionate about breaking through anti-bot systems. You’ll tackle fingerprinting, TLS handshakes, and headless browser detection at scale, using Playwright, Puppeteer, and browser internals.

If you enjoy deep debugging and shipping robust evasion tooling, this role is for you. You’ll own the toughest challenges, design testing tools, and collaborate with a lean, bootstrapped team delivering real data from many sources.

Qualifications

• Deep experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium internals.
• Understanding of browser fingerprinting techniques and how to spoof them.
• Experience bypassing at least one major anti-bot system (Cloudflare, Akamai, DataDome, PerimeterX, etc).
• Network traffic analysis experience with Wireshark, Burp Suite, mitmproxy, or similar.

Responsabilités

• Research and implement anti-bot evasion techniques.
• Reverse engineer bot detection systems to understand how they work and bypass them.
• Work with browser fingerprinting techniques (canvas, WebGL, fonts, navigator properties).
• Debug TLS and protocol fingerprinting and push advances in evasion techniques.
• Optimize Playwright/Puppeteer configurations for stealth.
• Analyze network traffic to understand detection mechanisms.
• Build internal testing tools for evasion validation.
• Stay ahead of latest bot detection developments.
• Document findings and share knowledge with the team.
