JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Regional Director – Europe

Department: Commercial / Business Development

Reports To: Regional Director – Commercial (or CEO/Commercial VP – as applicable)

Work Type: Remote with regional travel

Location: Europe (preferably EU or Schengen-based)

Role Objective

The Regional Director – Europe is responsible for leading and expanding commercial presence across the European region. The role will drive regional revenue growth, establish and strengthen key partnerships, and lead a team of four Business Development Managers located in Latvia, Austria, Switzerland, and Ukraine. The Regional Director will focus on developing new accounts, increasing market share within Europe, and ensuring consistent performance and profitability for flight-support services in the region.

Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy for the European region, aligned with global objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the regional Business Development Managers to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and ensure full accountability across the team.
2. Sales & Market Growth
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with operators, charter companies, FBOs, brokers, and other aviation stakeholders.
  • Expand presence across both mature and developing European markets.
  • Oversee client acquisition, proposal development, contract negotiation, and key account management.
3. Stakeholder & Partnership Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with aviation partners, including FBOs, ground handlers, fuel suppliers, OCCs, CAAs, and service partners.
  • Represent at regional conferences, industry events, and client meetings.
4. Operational & Commercial Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with internal operations, finance, and customer support teams to ensure service reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure full alignment with internal compliance, quality, and service delivery requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
  • Minimum 8–12 years of commercial or business development experience in flight support, FBO services, fuel services, or ground handling coordination.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, regional business development, and client acquisition.
  • Proven experience managing and developing sales teams.
  • Strong network within the European business aviation ecosystem.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Europe.
Preferred:
  • Prior experience in companies such as Jetex, UAS, Universal Weather, Euro Jet, ExecuJet, World Fuel Services (BizAv), or similar organizations.
  • Familiarity with bizav, charter operations, and VIP aviation workflows.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Regional revenue growth and profitability

  • Sales pipeline development and conversion rates
  • Team performance against monthly and annual targets
  • Growth of strategic partnerships in assigned markets

  • Compensation & IncentivesLump-sum monthly package of USD 8,000–10,000, inclusive of all personal taxes and expenses.
  • Performance-based bonus plan consisting of:
  • Monthly sales bonus tied to individual targets
  • Annual sales bonus based on regional performance
  • Supervision incentive linked to the collective achievement of the BDM team’s sales targets
