Regional Account Manager EU & Global Platform Lead

As our Regional Account Manager you will drive growth of Givaudan's business within the WEE region for our global account by managing both top and bottom lines, promoting customer partnerships, and implementing regional strategies following global goals.

The position is based in Argenteuil, France, and reports to our Worldwide Account Manager Global CP F&B.

Your role will include:

  • Lead role for all Givaudan activities linked to our global account within the WEE region, ensuring optimal account coverage, aligned with the customer's key decision centers and the Worldwide Account Manager (WAM).
  • Develop deep understanding of the customer's global organization and business, including key decision makers, decision centers, and senior influential leaders.
  • Regional Account Leadership: Build and execute the regional account strategy in collaboration with the WAM, platform leaders, and local development teams, ensuring achievement of revenue, profit, and driving a growth plan for the regional share of the business.
  • Global Category leadership for Fabric Care: Develop a global category strategy in collaboration with the other Regional Account Managers and coordinate alignment and communication to ensure implementation; drive the category innovation program and track global KPIs.
  • Business development and retention: Defend existing business, identify, and convert new business opportunities.
  • Commercial excellence: Support WAM in pricing negotiations, provide pricing input, collaborate with Customer Care to optimize supply chain, and support Credit Management in receivables collection.
  • Team leadership: Oversee the development, performance, and career growth of the WEE customer account team; share and implement best practices from across the company.
Your professional profile
  • 10–15 years' experience managing major international accounts in fragrances, flavours, or FMCG.
  • Proven international sales track record, even under tough circumstances, and key account management success.

  • Demonstrated communication skills and strong team spirit. Building strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management — fostering trust-based, long-term partnerships.
  • Strategic business acumen and P&L management expertise.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional, multicultural teams in an international environment.
  • Ability to make decisions with little information. Effectively decide and act without having the total picture; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
  • Actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder. Enjoying the challenge of unfamiliar tasks.
