Jobtailor is seeking a backend engineer to own and accelerate our real-time ingestion and data infrastructure in a Kubernetes-rich environment. You will optimize PostgreSQL workloads, build production-grade Python services, and collaborate cross-functionally with product squads to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building, deploying and monitoring production-grade applications.
• Python is our primary backend language, with flexibility to learn other core languages.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including index tuning and query optimization.
• Excellent communication bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, with hands-on AWS experience.

Responsabilités

• Ingestion Pipeline: Own and accelerate migration to a real-time streaming ingestion system.
• Infrastructure Scaling: Manage provisioning and scaling, expanding Kubernetes adoption.
• Database Management & Optimization: Maintain PostgreSQL performance under heavy load.
• Automation: Evolve real-time auto-moderation with Product Engineering collaboration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical execution with squads.
