East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking experienced Clinical Support Workers to join its teams across acute care settings. You will provide high-quality, compassionate care and support patients throughout their healthcare journey in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves personal care, vital signs recording, and supporting procedures after training, with opportunities for development within the Trust and a strong emphasis on patient dignity and safety.

Qualifications

  • Band 3 Clinical Support Worker eligibility criteria and experience in healthcare.
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
  • Commitment to full induction and flexible shifts (days, nights, weekends, bank holidays).
  • Evidence of qualifications and healthcare experience required in recruitment.

Responsabilités

  • Provide personal care including bathing, toileting, dressing and feeding.
  • Record patient observations including vital signs and escalate concerns.
  • Support clinical procedures such as wound care, venepuncture, and catheter removal (after training).
  • Assist with medication administration and oxygen therapy (after training).
  • Escort patients and support enhanced observations; maintain documentation and confidentiality.

These vacancies are open to experienced Clinical Support Workers who:
  • Have previous experience working in a healthcare setting as a Clinical Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant.
  • Hold the relevant qualifications required for aBand 3 Clinical Support Worker (Higher Level)role, as detailed in the person specification.
  • Have a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care.
  • Can demonstrate the knowledge, skills and experience required to work effectively within an acute healthcare environment.
  • Are able to commit to a full week of induction training at the start of employment.
  • Are able to work flexibly across a range of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our services.
  • Hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent recognised qualification)

Please note:Applicants who do not meet the essential qualification requirements for the Band 3 Clinical Support Worker (Higher Level) position will not be eligible for appointment to this role. Applicants must be able to provide evidence of both their qualifications and relevant healthcare experience as part of the recruitment process.
