Jobtailor in Fontenay-sous-Bois is seeking a Reliability and RAMS Engineer to define requirements, assess risks and ensure RAMS compliance for railway systems. You will quantify residual risks and review supplier analyses while aligning with industry standards.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, communication, and the ability to work autonomously within a safety-critical environment. A Master’s in Functional Safety is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Functional Safety or Reliability Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of railway transportation systems.
• Knowledge of Functional Safety/Reliability Engineering methods (FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Block Diagram, etc.).
• Knowledge of railway functional safety standards (EN 50126/50129).
• Self-motivation, autonomy, and adaptability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and an interest in understanding complex systems.
• Strong writing and summarization skills.
• An administrative background check will be requested by the French Ministry of the Interior
• A French Criminal Record Extract (B3) is required to initiate the hiring process

Responsabilités

• Define Reliability and Availability requirements and objectives.
• Allocate objectives to subsystems.
• Ensure RAMS performance complies with user requirements.
• Quantitatively assess residual risks.
• Assess predicted Reliability and Availability of systems.
• Review predictive RAMS analyses conducted by suppliers.
• Assess industry methods demonstrating achievement of RAMS objectives.
• Establish a method for estimating RAMS indicators during warranty period.
• Statistically analyze system field feedback and operational data.
• Provide reporting to management and the project team.
• Conduct supplier audits
