An international research institute in Grenoble is looking for a Safety Technologist to support the Radiation Protection Engineer. Responsibilities include managing radioactive samples, performing dosimetry, and conducting radiation protection follow-up for beamlines and accelerators. Candidates should have a technician-level degree in radiation protection and proficiency in English. This role offers a permanent contract and competitive compensation with relocation support.
The ESRF Safety Group is responsible for all radiation protection aspects associated with the different accelerators and the different X-ray experimental stations (beamlines), such as shielding calculations, radiation monitoring and personal and environmental dosimetry. The operation of the beamlines requires the use of radioactive sources for calibration purposes and some beamlines use radioactive samples.
You will assist the Radiation Protection Engineer in various radiation protection tasks, in particular:
Permanent contract.
The salary will be calculated on the basis of relevant qualifications and professional experience.
