Job summary

Norma is seeking an R&D Scientist in Energy Storage in Paris to lead optimization of our electrochemical energy storage technology for carbon capture and energy storage integration. You will drive research, development, and scale-up toward industrial manufacturing and supply chain readiness.

Requirements include a PhD in Energy Storage or Materials Science, strong electrochemistry expertise, and experience with characterization techniques (CV, EIS, charge–discharge).

Qualifications

• PhD in Energy Storage, Materials Science or closely related field.
• Strong expertise in electrochemistry and advanced characterization techniques (CV, EIS, charge–discharge).
• Experience in managing complex technical projects, delivering on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the energy storage research strategy and translate into R&D roadmaps.
• Design, fabricate, test, and optimize electrodes for performance and scalability.
• Run electrochemical testing protocols, analyze data, and refine energy storage performance alongside CO₂ capture optimization.
• Develop scale-up strategies for supply chain readiness and industrial production.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality processes for energy storage technologies.
• Build partnerships with academia and industry to support R&D and commercialization.
