Eramet Ideas is seeking a proactive researcher to lead hydrometallurgy-focused R&D programs, organize pilot trials, and scale results to industrial applications. You will collaborate with global partners, manage budgets and timelines, and contribute to safety and environmental practices.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in a scientific field or engineering, speak fluent English, and are willing to travel within France and internationally several times per year.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a scientific field or an engineering degree.
• PhD or equivalent experience preferred.
• Early-career candidates are welcome to apply.
• Strong interest in applied research, process improvement, and solving hydrometallurgy-related challenges.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to independently lead a research project, take initiative, and drive change.
• Curiosity, analytical and synthesis skills, rigor, strong communication skills, and team collaboration.
• Willingness to travel in France and internationally to Eramet sites, suppliers and partners, or conferences, including assignments lasting several weeks, 1 to 5 times per year.

Responsabilités

• Organize and coordinate research or process improvement projects from literature reviews through implementation and validation of results.
• Address a wide range of challenges across the Group’s sites, particularly Lithium projects, in collaboration with operations teams, R&D experts, and external partners.
• Develop innovative solutions in hydrometallurgy.
• Lead laboratory- or pilot-scale trials.
• Conduct semi-industrial operations.
• Contribute to cross-functional R&D projects.
• Support the development of safety and environmental practices at Eramet Ideas.
• Supervise a small team of technicians, as required.
