Zusammenfassung

Alice & Bob is building a pioneering quantum computer and seeks an Experimental Physics Intern to extend broadband flux noise sensing. You will design and operate cryogenic RF measurement chains, calibrate flux-tunable resonators, and analyze bandwidth limits under supervision of the HERMES team.

Applicants are Master’s students in physics or electrical engineering with strong Python and experimental skills, ready to contribute to cutting-edge cryogenic quantum hardware in Aubervilliers,

Qualifikationen

Master's student in physics, engineering physics or electrical/electronics engineering.
Strong interest in experimental work and cryogenic measurements.
Experience with RF/microwave measurements and cryostats is a plus.
Proficiency in Python for instrument control and data analysis.

Aufgaben

Develop and set up the flux noise measurement experiment.
Characterise flux noise measurement chips.
Analyse limitations to broadband operation and bandwidth extension.
Propose and test measurement solutions and document results.
Present progress to the HERMES team.
