Quandela invites a Quantum Information Scientist to join the Architecture & Performance team. You will evaluate near- and mid-term quantum architectures, blending theory with hardware constraints to guide future direction.

You will develop models and numerical tools, study interactions with algorithms and QEC, and propose new research initiatives. The role spans Architecture, Device Physics, FTQC and Algorithms teams, with opportunities to lead exploratory projects and contribute to the

Qualifications

• PhD in a closely related field and strong theoretical background in quantum computing.
• Experience connecting theory with hardware/experimental constraints.
• Ability to assess capabilities of quantum systems or architectures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and compare capabilities of near- and mid-term quantum architectures.
• Incorporate noise, native operations and physical constraints into analyses.
• Develop models and numerical tools to explore architecture–performance trade-offs.
• Lead new research projects around architecture design and performance.
• Collaborate with Architecture, FTQC and Algorithms teams to connect physics to computation.
